Friends of Basera Trust
Basera Trust has a number of supporters and donors who are impressed
by the commitment, hard work and dedication of M.Fazil
Utmanzai. While some
provide support through advice and guidance, others extend
financial support for the running expenditure of the Trust. While
all other donors and supporters are worthy to mention, the late
Brig. Mazhar ul Haq Hydri deserves special appreciation as the
inspiration behind M. Fazil Utmanzai’s endeavors and initial
support. Another person who merits mention is Dr.
Naeem Ghani of Sultana Foundation and Dr. Azkar Baig, Ch. Kausar and
Mrs. Shahida Azfar , M.Arshad Khan, Shakeel Qureshi,
Issam Baig. Dr.Farhan Zahid and
who are source of constant support.
Institutions supporting Basera are
They are part of the governing body of Basera and they have been
managing the accounts of the Trust from its inception and beginning.
Children of Hope (COH), Canada:
They are sponsoring and
supporting the costs of 15 children out of the total of 40.
Basera Support Group (BSG):
This is among the most recent supporters. It is a group of well
wishers from the community providing financial, material and
advisory support to improve the living conditions of the children at
the currently rented premises and interacts with the children
socially. BSG is helping to raise funds for Basera to buy land to
build its own building.
Azkar Welfare Trust and Noreen Zindagi Welfare Trust also provide
their moral and financial support from time to time.
In addition, there are countless individuals supporting Basera in
different ways. Some 10 to 12 persons are contributing on a monthly
basis to the Trust which goes towards the rental for the present
accommodations of Basera, utilities and rations. There is a
shortfall between the funds received and expenses involved which
requires continuous efforts for raising funds from other sources
The above mentioned friends are represented in the governing body of
the Trust in addition to some notable individuals. The function of
the governing body is to provide overall direction to Basera’s work
